Caroline’s Pathfinders was founded in 2020 in loving memory of Caroline Anne Kennedy (1961-2020).

Throughout Caroline’s life, she demonstrated a real passion and excitement for helping young people achieve their dreams. Not only was this evident in the way that she invested in those closest to her in life, but it was also evident through the career paths that she herself chose to pursue.

Caroline spent many years working at a local school where she loved nothing more than watching young people grow and develop throughout their time there. Whilst working in the school environment, Caroline became more than just a member of staff. She became a comforting face to all of the children that came through the school, a mentor that they could turn to when life outside of school was challenging, and a person that wasn’t afraid to speak up for injustice.

The same went for life outside of the workplace. Caroline was loved by so many people and lent a supportive ear when they needed help or guidance. This was particularly true in her family life. When Caroline’s nephew Kai left school without many qualifications, she wholeheartedly supported him in his newfound passion in the barbering world. And when the time came that Kai needed some barbering equipment of his own, Caroline stepped in to help him financially and get him on his feet. To this day, Kai has gone from strength to strength in his career and is very much an inspiration behind why Caroline’s Pathfinders was born.

Caroline firmly believed that it was within every young person’s right to have equal opportunities in life. She knew that every young person excelled in different ways and that there was no one-size-fits-all approach as to how you should embark on a career.
